About Alvari & Pers

Alvari & Pers is an interior design studio working on private homes. The studio takes a small number of projects a year, from a single room to a whole house, and runs them from brief to installation.

Why this journal exists

Clients ask the same questions before every project, and the honest answers involve measurements: how far a pendant should hang, what a rub count means for a sofa, how much space a wardrobe door needs. The journal writes those answers down once, properly. Three sections cover it: Colour & Light, Materials & Texture and Rooms & Layouts.

How the notes are written

Each note is dated and updated in place when something changes. Figures are ranges, marked as indicative, with the standard or manufacturer data named where one exists. Where a common claim has no evidence behind it, the note says so rather than repeating it. The rules are in the editorial policy.

Working with the studio

The first step is a plan and a short description of what is wrong with the space today. Fees, stages and deliverables are set out before anything is drawn. Details on the contact page.
